Location

WALMI, Odisha is located at Pratapnagari, about 7 km. South of Cuttack and 17 km north of Bhubaneswar, the State capital. The permanent campus covers an area of 52 acres and an Institute Building with plinth area of 8000 square metres located on the banks of river Kuakhai, a distributary of River Mahanadi and adjacent to the conveyance system of Mahanadi Delta Stage II irrigation project.

    WALMI has been assigned the work for formation of 19 nos of Pani Panchayat in an ayacut of 8500 Ha. in Ret Medium Irrigation Project, Bhawanipatna in Kalahandi District. It is decided that WALMI,Odisha will take up the assignment of formation of Pani Panchayat in Ret Irrigation Project. Preparation of RoR is in Process.
