Action Research Programme

Action Research Programme (ARP) is one of the components of Water Resources Management and Training project. In ARP, an irrigated area, sufficiently large enough to be representative of a complete system is taken up a adequately long period as study area to identify the deficiencies in the system which act as constraints in obtaining optimum agricultural yield. A detailed diagnostic analysis is to be carried out and search for appropriate interventions and corrective measures are made. The intervention are introduced and mentioned. Their impact is evaluated to assess the improvement in the system performance.

Action Research Programme (ARP) was taken up in live irrigation projects by WALMI, Odisha and six Action Research Stations had been sanctioned for this purpose. Details are as follows:
